Annalise is putting us through the ringer! Now out of the medals again. Obviously struggling downwind but thriving upwind.
There are two upwind legs to go too, so there is hope yet.
Annalise has gone ahead of the Belgian, just.
Annalise battling with van Acker now for the bronze. Murphy's Mound going wild!!

Annalise way on the right, but the left seems to have sped up.

Annalise is ahead of Bouwmeester. Now it's downwind slide to the finish. Annalise has struggled downwind and Bouwmeester has been very fast. She has to get this right. Please, please, please girl, you deserve it!
Will she learn from the previous downwind legs?
Van Acker in Annalise's sights but Bouwmeester just behind. She's pushing hard for silver now. Chinese girl is clear and has dominated this race. Go, go, go. Come on!!!
Annalise is 3rd just behind the Dutch sailor.
But the Belgian sailor is catching up on Annalise.
Annalise is going backwards downwind again. Gutting.
My God, who would have thought sailing would be so exciting????
Annalise has finished 5th. Damn!
China, Belgium and Netherlands finished 1, 2, 3 in the race and overall.
She was so strong upwind but lost all her ground downwind. Pity they didn't start on the other side.
Amazing effort from Annalise, we are all still very proud of you. You have given Irish sailing a massive boost.
It's devastating, and you hate the moral victory stuff, but that was a brilliant effort over the past week by Annalise Murphy. It will take a little time to get over but this will stand to her big time in four years.
