Derek Burnett is not having such a good second round. He has missed 2 out of his 13 targets so far.
@breaking news..rain got heavier for a cpl min, hope 1 of the girls come close to 2.30
The leaders are passing St Paul's Cathedral - around half a million are out on the streets this morning.
@dinnymc A pleasure. Hope you enjoy it.
Just as I say that he knocks two fences down.
So 8 penalties for Cian and within the time. He shouldn't be too disappointed with that, no one has cleared it yet.
There's a lead group of 40 tightly bunched. No Irish in there from what I can see. The rest are strung out behind.
@dinnymc We'll keep you posted on that dinny.
Mara Yamauchi and Claire Hallisey of Britain are both knocking around 40th. There's no info coming through of what's happening down the field.
Cian is joint third overall at the moment with 8 penalty points.
Yamauchi is out. Gone after around 9km.
GB's Mara Yamauchi has gone out of the women's marathon injured.
@Will Downing Would she have been a medal contender Will?
Defending champion Constantina Dita of Romania is way back. No successful defence this time, form has been a bit off lately.
@BreakingNews At best, top 15 would have been superb, as we would be saying about the irish three also.
Derek Burnett has finished with 23 out of 25 in his second round. Will have to wait for all the shooters to finish their second rounds to see where that leaves him overall.
Caitriona jennings a good bit behind Byrne Hutchinson
From the BBC screen, they showed the top 43 runners in the women's marathon, but no sign of any of the Irish runners.
@Dave Hooper Any idea what positions they are in Dave?
There should be a scrolling bar at the top of the screen like in Nascar where you can see everyone's position. OBS pulled away after 1st 43 athletes.
Cian O'Connor joint 4th and Billy Twomey 12th so far in the show jumping.
i would say down around 50, just a guess
Linda Byrne 86th and Ava Hutchinson 87th after 10km, Caitriona Jennings way down in 108th.
Jennings about 70 seconds down on Byrne and Hutchinso who have grouped
Byrne and Hutch looking solid, will pick it up in the mid race. Jennings not looking great
There's been havoc among the leaders at the water stations, particularly among the Kenyans. Lead group around 20-25 now.
Two clear rounds in the showjumping push Cian down to joint 6th and billy twomey down to 16th.
The leaders are passing Big Ben. Leading group is about 20-25
and things are breaking up.
There's no Irish in the top 65. Freya Murray is 50th twelve seconds down.
15km split coming up soon in the women's marathon.
